R. B. Jergens just finished the city of Piqua’s $6.3 Million Dollar US Route 25A project, which was managed by an outstanding ODOT team.  And except for a couple of underground utility conflicts—which were well beyond your control—the whole project was built without any issues, claims, or complaints.  And I’m very proud of that.  Yet the real credit for this remarkable feat goes to the whole build team—the city of Piqua, ODOT, and Choice One Engineering. 

I’ve been building public projects for thirty years.  So I know how exceedingly rare it is to get defect-free plans.  But Choice One Engineering does this routinely.  Great plans make great projects.  You and your fine staff should be proud too. 

As contractors, good plans mean better production and less risk.  For ODOT and the City of Piqua, Choice One’s plans meant less delays and cost.  For Piqua residents--less time and inconvenience.  Everyone wins.

ODOT’s 2008 / 2009 Business Plan targets bad plans.  ODOT knows that better plans save money.  Shrinking budgets make this a perfectly natural way to trim construction costs.  Great plans save money.
